William Broyles, also known by his call-sign the Buccaneer or simply the Buck, is a well-known Marine.

Early History[]
Through unknown circumstances, William Broyles joined the United States Marine Corps, where he gained the call-sign Buccaneer, which was sometimes shortened to the Buck.
The Buck was one of the most renowned unit leaders in the Corps, leading Marine Reconnaissance Unit 1 before it was disbanded. He was known for his extreme tactics during military exercises which often allowed his unit victory.
