History
Early History
Through unknown circumstances, Ricky Murphy joined the United States Marine Corps, where he gained the call-sign Rooster.
Scarecrow
Rooster was among the Marines under Shane Schofield's command when they were dispatched to assist two Delta teams which were fighting enemy forces at a former Soviet base known as Krask 8. He went along with Schofield's sub-team to investigate the area.
When Executive Solutions prepared to take out Schofield, they inadvertantly targeted Rooster instead due to the fact that he was wearing silver anti-flash glasses much like Schofield's. As such, when ExSol opened fire, Rooster was the first of the Marines to go down.
