Rameses II was an ancient Pharaoh of Egypt, ruling during the 13th century BC.

Fictional History[]

Early History[]

After his rise to power, the Egyptian Pharaoh Rameses II was also made the new King of the Kingdom of Land of the Four Legendary Kingdoms, though this knowledge was known to only a select few. His membership in the Four Kingdoms allowed Rameses to be taught about the true history of mankind, as well as learn of the five trials set by super-ancient beings to test humanity.

During his reign, Rameses became entitled to the six Pillars of the Machine and five of the Six Sacred Stones that had once been kept by Khufu. Rameses came to refer to the cleansing Basin as his own, thus people would come to call it the Basin of Rameses II, while the Sacred Stones as a whole would be referred to as the Six Ramesean Stones.

Prior to 1255 BC, the Egyptians discovered the location of the First Vertex of the Machine in the land of Nubia. Rameses ordered the construction of a Great Temple nearby known as Abu Simbel, which would be dedicated to the gods Amun, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah, as well as to Rameses himself. Later he commissioned a second set of statues to be built a short distance from the originals, in dedication to his wife Nefertari. During the construction of both temples, Rameses II arranged for the eye-lines for one of the eyes of his and Nefertari's statues to look at the entrance to the Vertex.
