The Sky Warrior is a Tupolev Tu-144 plane which was once owned by Vladimir "Carnivore" Romanov, and now currently under the possession of Jack West Jr and Sky Monster.

History[]

The Five Greatest Warriors[]

At some point prior to 2008, the Russian Royal Vladimir "Carnivore" Romanov acquired a Tupolev-Tu-144 for his own private usage, and had it painted in non-standard black colours. He primarily kept it with him at his base in eastern Russia.

After Carnivore had confirmed that the fourth and fifth Pillars had been laid, he reneged on his promise to release his hostages and instead prepared to abandon his base, and had Diane Cassidy oversee the loading of all of his notes and equipment onto the plane. Once he was ready, Carnivore and his people departed onboard the Tupolev.

After Cieran Kincaid gave away the position of Jack West Jr and his people, Carnivore had the plane transport him to the Halicarnassus's location in the Dead Sea. Once he took the Pillar and Lily from them, Carnivore and Iolanthe Compton-Jones prepared to depart on the Tupolev, but when Jack turned the tables on Cieran, Carnivore quickly ordered his men on the plane to disable the Halicarnassus. Once the Tupolev had loosed a pair of missiles on the Hali, destroying its forward landing gear, and secured Carnivore and the others onboard, the Tupolev quickly took off.

Carnivore used the Tupolev to transport him and his assets to Easter Island, where the final Vertex of the Machine resided. The plane was left on the island's runway as Carnivore and his people made their way into the Vertex, and Wolf was furious when he spotted the Russian's plane as he approached Easter Island on the Chinese aircraft carriers. Carnivore soon met his end in the Vertex, and the Easter Islanders moved the Tupolev into a private hanger for storage.

With the destruction of the Halicarnassus, Jack assured Sky Monster that he knew where they could get themselves a replacement plane, and a few weeks later, the pair broke into the Tupolev's hanger and took the abandoned plane, flying it to Jack's new farm. The Tupolev was christened the Sky Warrior, and Sky Monster happily worked on the plane as he stayed on the farm.

Jack West Jr and the Chinese Splashdown[]

When Jack's former neighbour Wally Ferguson was kidnapped by Chinese forces, Jack had Sky Monster pilot the Sky Warrior towards the Fiery Cross Reef military base, and once Jack had retrieved Wally using his Gull Wings, he used a nearby fighter's ejection seat to launch the two of them into the air so that, as the plane swooped by, its capture cable snagged them and sped them away to safety. Once they were properly aboard the Sky Warrior, Jack had the plane take them to the Cocos Islands.

The Four Legendary Kingdoms[]

In November 2016, when Jack's presence was requested at Pine Gap, Sky Monster ferried him, Lily, Alby Calvin with the dogs and Horus in the Sky Warrior. Upon arrival, Sky Monster opted to remain on the Sky Warrior to tinker around as Jack was being briefed, however the plane was boarded and Sky Monster was knocked out by a sleeping gas leaked by a group of people led by Iolanthe. Iolanthe proceeded to instruct her people to have the Sky Warrior taken with them as the traveled to the Underworld with their prisoners.

The Sky Warrior was left parked at a private runway at one of Anthony DeSaxe's mines, and once Jack and the rest of his allies escaped the Underworld, they headed to the airstrip and boarded the Tupolev, reading to return home to Jack's farm.

En-route, however, Jack was attacked by the malicious jester Mephisto, who had snuck aboard the Sky Warrior before they had arrived. Luckily, Jack was able to break the window in his room and send Mepisto flying out to his death, and then closed off the room so that Sky Monster could stablise the internal pressure of the Sky Warrior to let them continue their journey home.

The Three Secret Cities[]

After Hades's alerted the team that they needed to retrieve certain artefacts from his penthouse, the team boarded the Sky Warrior and set off to New York. After the Sky Warrior had landed at the private Teterboro Airport, the team disembarked the Tupolev, allowing Sky Monster to take off again to head to the Republic Airport on Long Island where he and the Sky Warrior would wait for the team's return.

After failing to acquire the tablet of the Altar of the Cosmos and losing Hades to the Slave King, the team took off in the Sky Warrior to head to Venice in order to view a charcoal rubbing of the tablet kept at the Gallerie dell'Accademia. Along the way, the team did research into the Immortal Weapons and Secret Cities, and soon Zoe and Mae were dropped off in the U.K. to meet with Julius Adamson and Iolanthe.

The Sky Warrior was next used by Sky Monster to transport Pooh Bear and Stretch to the wilds of Iceland so that they could head into Thule and ensure that the Sword of the Rock was empowered.

The Two Lost Mountains[]

During the team's period of researching the Trial of the Mountains and searching for Lily, the Sky Warrior was kept with them at Hades's Estate in Alsace-Lorraine. Once Lily had been located in Moscow, Sky Monster, Stretch and Pooh Bear set off in the Sky Warrior to go get her while Jack's group moved to rendezvous with them in Russia.

Once over Moscow, Stretch used Jack's Gull Wings to get from the Sky Warrior to the ground while Sky Monster and Pooh Bear stayed aboard the Tupolev. Soon, however, Stretch called in a warning for the pair to don protective headphones and put the Sky Warrior on autopilot before a Siren bell could knock them out. Unfortunately, communications were then jammed, preventing them from contacting Jack or the rest of the team.

As the Sky Warrior flew away from Moscow on its automated flight path, Jack and Rufus's attempts to contact the Sky Warrior went unanswered, leaving them assuming that Sky Monster and Pooh Bear had been rendered comatose by the bell. As they pursued the Sky Warrior in the Black Raven, a missile fired from a Russian military satellite under Sphinx's control targeted the Tupolev, which Sky Monster and Pooh Bear were fortunately able to detect in time to let them parachute out of the plane to safety. Meanwhile, Jack and Rufus watched helplessly as the missile struck and destroyed the Sky Warrior, with pieces of the Tupolev raining down on the Russian countryside.

The Sky Warrior's own capabilities are largely unknown, other than that it can cruise at supersonic speeds easily. While it was under Carnivore's ownership, he kept a pair of missiles under its wings, though it it unknown if Jack and Sky Monster refitted it with more since they acquired the plane.
